Summary of Principle Functions
To supervise a crew of hourly employees to safely and efficiently execute their work assignments.
Specific Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Ensures all department work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet or exceed all MSHA standards.
- Promotes and encourages teamwork and high performance standards throughout the department.
Communicate work assignments to employees.
Ensure employee compliance to corporate, property and departmental policies and standard work procedures, and the collective bargaining agreement.
- Coordinate and facilitate departmental training needs, and encourage and assist in employee development.
Education: 4-year degree in related field preferred.
Experience: Experience managing/supervising maintenance of mobile mining equipment / shovels and drills; or fleet maintenance of heavy mobile construction equipment preferred.
